she looked so pretty standing there but hasn’t she heard that before what else can I say to her she’s the one I adore there she goes there she goes out of sight and into my mind there she goes there she goes now I never saw it coming I never expected it to happen to me so fast she took my thoughts and she threw them into the sea she caught me at last she took her time she said the lines and she played with my mind I thought I could do it I guess that I blew it now the rain is falling down, down how could you be so proud pull me straight back to the ground, ground strike my head and break my crown

Little Bird 02:50
little winged one how is your day? flying through the sky and up in the airway I can hear you in your nest singing your song just outside my windowsill all day long little winged one tell me something is it fun? flying in the summer sun? robins egg blue and chest of red you know I can hear you in my bed, in my bed. fly high into the sky and tell me why the grass looks greener on the other side robins egg blue and chest of red you know I can hear you in my bed, in my bed.

do you know this moment? looking to the future wanting to own it I know you’ve been so hard on yourself lately. I know it's tough trying to figure out remembering the person sat down on the couch wishing he could know what he could be take a breath take it in feel the air on your skin understand you are right where you need to be (oh yeah) right where you need to be today you’ve come so far do not give up remember your room, saying up, thinking of wherever you could be? take a breath take it in feel the air on your skin understand you are right where you need to be (oh yeah) right where you need to be today

open the door with a greeting and a smile, invite us in to talk for a while. in the basement with the game on the screen, laugh and talk about the things we’ve seen. everyone is welcome here, come on in, no doubts no fears. love and support for no end, everyone that we call friend. Id hope id see everyone around and only be entirely ourselves I'm lucky cause friends were born in my family and ill see you again and ill see you again just like the stars you look down on me and see the person I turned out to be. its been so long since you’ve been there, Monday evening sitting in your chair. Id hope id see everyone around and only be entirely ourselves I'm lucky cause friends were born in my family and ill see you again and ill see you again Don't want to let them down (I don't want to let my family down) (I don't want to let my friends down)

it’s the last time I'll see your face, it’s the last time we’ll be in the same place. that’s what it feels like on the inside. why can't I just go and hide? everything changes for the better so why does that saying just not make me feel any better? I’ll see you around, I’ll see you sometime again. I’ll see you around I swear just promise that you’ll be there I’ll see you around, just like before. I’ll see you around I swear just promise that you’ll be there. make sure you try to text and write. if you can’t I guess that’s alright. I just want to hear your voice. So familiar, it drowns out the noise. I’ll see you around, I’ll see you sometime again. I’ll see you around I swear just promise that you’ll be there I’ll see you around, just like before. I’ll see you around I swear just promise that you’ll be there.

Breathe 01:58
breathe. reflect the day, tell yourself you’ll be okay. take in the view the sun may set the forest frames the days' last breath. eyes wide to evening skies to new old friends and quiet nights when you find an honest view your soul won’t blink, and you’ll regret to. breathe.

about

1952 is a project recorded, edited, produced, and finished all by myself in my spare time. It's a strange feeling putting yourself out there, especially in a creative way. 1952 is my child, and I am still nervous letting it run free. However, I know it will be better out in the open rather than hidden in my hard drive.

when it comes to the meaning behind my music, I don't really want to share what I meant right away. music is a personal thing, and what one song might mean to you might not be what I originally wrote it about, and that's completely fine. That's the glory and brilliance of music.
~
You make meaning for my songs. and hey, feel free to let me know.
